Kingfisher Bay Resort is a 4 star, fully integrated resort development. It includes 152 hotel rooms, and 110 2 and 3 bedroom self-contained villas.

Hotel Rooms feature private decks with bush or lake views, air-conditioning, bath/shower, hairdryer, iron/board, colour tv, STD/ISD phone, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Facilities available for guests with disabilities.

Modern Self-contained 2 and 3 bedroom Villas feature private decks with bush or sea views, some with spa baths on decks, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, colour tv, hairdryer, STD/ISD phone, bedding, linen and towels supplied, and serviced every third day or on request.

Seabelle Restaurant & Wine Bar - Award winning Australian dining experience, where Bush Tucker meets modern Australian cuisine. They serve fresh Australian seafood, have an extensive vegetarian menu, a selection of fine Australian wines, theatre style kitchen, large deck with bush views, and Bush Tucker and wine tastings.

The Sand Bar & Bistro - Overlooking the beach and 2 pools, it has a vibrant nautical atmosphere, where you will get fun, food and entertainment. Featuring a reasonably priced bistro menu, Gourmet pizza, Spit roast lunch on Sundays, Party nights, disco, karaoke, pool tables, games and poker machines.

The Pool Bar - Receive full bar service, specializing in cocktails, fruit smoothies and poolside snacks.

The Jetty Hut - Serves champagne and cocktails at sunset for groups, snacks, cold beer, softdrinks, coffee, confectionery and icecream. You can even purchase hats, t-shirts, maps and all fishing gear.

From August to October humpback whales, on their way south to the Antarctic from the warmer northern waters, stop to rest in Platypus Bay, just 30km or a 40 minute cruise north of the resort. The Kingfisher I has all-round viewing decks and is one of the fastest vessels in the Hervey Bay whale watch fleet so it ensures plenty of time is spent with the whales.

how to get there

Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village is just a 40 minute trip by fast catamaran from Hervey Bay which is a 45 minute flight or a three-and-a-half hour drive from the Queensland capital of Brisbane.

Kingfisher Bay has regular return catamaran and barge services from Hervey Bay each day.
